Celebrating Mommas

“The Lord appeared to me long ago, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.’” Jeremiah 31:3

In May, we gathered with the women in our community for a special event called “Eternal Love.” Although it took place near Mother’s Day, it was not only for mothers. It was a time for all the women connected to EA — mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and women who may not have children of their own, but who still reflect the love and care of God in beautiful ways.

The theme came from Jeremiah 31:3, where God says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Through teaching, reflection, and shared time together, we wanted each woman to remember that beyond every human love, there is a love that is true, perfect, and eternal: the love of God.

Throughout the gathering, there were moments of beauty, laughter, quiet reflection, and connection. The room became a space where women could be welcomed, encouraged, and reminded of their value before God.

During the event, we saw vulnerability and openness in many of the women. For many, that reminder felt deeply needed — that they are seen, valued, and loved by God. In a community where trust and vulnerability are not easily given, it was especially meaningful to see closeness begin to form, even among women who had only recently met one another.

We are grateful for the way God continues to work at EA by His grace and faithfulness. We see Him restoring hearts and healing deep wounds. Sometimes that work happens through a conversation, a shared meal, a prayer, a moment of beauty, or a simple reminder: You are loved with an everlasting love.

We are grateful for those who walk with us making it possible for us to share the hope of the gospel.
