Jim & Tony Kay
In 2007 Jim and Tkay heard a call from God to “get rid of their stuff and be available.” Jim left a 30-year career in operations management. After home-educating their sons, Tony Kay was just beginning a career in IT management. Their story is one of learning immediate obedience and growing faith. In 2010 they moved to Peru to oversee Esperanza de Ana and a ministry in Ecuador called Nuevos Amigos. Jim and Tkay focus on supporting national staff, strengthening families, and educating children.
Property and Projects Management
Debbie interned with us in 2014. She took on many responsibilities with determination and faith. After helping to design and supervising the building of our public bathroom, she served in designing communication materials. Later she became responsible for property management and designing and implementing projects with the help of visiting mission teams. Currently, Deb is architect and on-site engineer for our classroom expansion building project.
Mission Teams Coordinator and Classroom Support
Julie served as an intern in 2014. She returned in 2015 and served as education support to children who were behind grade level. Her success with them earned EA a good reputation with our local school. She served as preschool teacher assistant and finally as lead teacher. Currently Julie coordinates mission teams and provides classroom support. Julie is Peruvian at heart and our national staff think of her as a rock to lean on.
Preschool Pilot Project Teacher
In 2018 Jocelyn interned at EA providing classroom teaching assistance. She returned in 2019 as a full-time missionary. Jocelyn is currently lead teacher in our pilot project and is supporting our national staff as we move toward the opening of a school. Jocelyn is a gifted teacher who has made an impact on her students, their parents, and our national staff. She brings joy and much wisdom to our team and we are beyond happy to have her with us.
