September Prayer Guide

Throughout August, we have shared glimpses of what God is doing among the families we serve and within our own team. Today, we invite you to respond by praying with us—joining in the work God is already doing.

🙏 Ministry Team

Please pray for Ana and Valentina. Last week, Ana shared how she and her daughter are learning to trust God while both face autoimmune illnesses. Pray for their physical health, for God to guard Ana’s mind from oppressive thoughts, and for the peace, strength, and grace they need each day.

Please pray for Jim. We would also appreciate your prayers for Jim. Over the past year, he has experienced two falls and has continued to struggle with chronic back pain, along with increasing pain in his foot and ankle that has sometimes made walking very difficult. A recent MRI revealed a significantly compressed nerve in his lower back that may explain some of these symptoms. We are waiting to meet with specialists in pain management and neurosurgery while also considering other treatment approaches. Our current plan is for both of us to be in Peru for two to three weeks in October, making the timing of these appointments and decisions especially important. Please pray for timely appointments, wisdom and clear guidance, relief and restored mobility for Jim, and peace as we make decisions about treatment and travel.

🙏 Students and Families

Please pray for the Zapata family. Earlier this month, we shared how Junior and Carolina, though separated, are both taking steps to support their children, Sebastean and Catalina. Thank God for the progress we are seeing, especially with Catalina. Pray for wisdom and cooperation for her parents, continued growth in Catalina’s health and learning, and patient, faithful support from EA’s staff.
