School is in full swing here in Peru. Esperanza de Ana is providing for the education of 28 kids this year! Average tuition for one child for a year is $800. We have 6 new children from families who have been passing through extreme crisis situations putting at risk the family unit. Through the part-time residential program interventions are in place to preserve the family. Focusing on education looks forward to breaking the repetition of cycles for fatherless children in situations of poverty. You can be a part of the story by underwriting a scholarship today.
As is customary in this country, each class selects student officers who serve as a role models to their fellow students and are responsible for helping maintain order in the classroom. Chords and badges distinguish them. The highest position, Brigadier General, carries a puntero, a white staff for maintaining lines. The students chosen for these positions are at the top of their class. They are high achievers academically and have shown leadership qualities. Five of the kids from our two new families have been selected for positions this year: Emerson, Ruby, André, Gerald, and Oscar. If you would like to meet them check out the prayer team page.
